Lisa Smith attended Arizona State University where she studied under Thomas Bacon. She has performed professionally in Arizona and Colorado and was auxiliary horn in the New World Symphony, Miami Beach Fl. She has played with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, was Principal horn in the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, Pueblo Symphony, Needlewood Orchestra-a contemporary jazz combo- and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center pit orchestra. Lisa has been a member of the Monument Hill Brass Quintet for 14 years and is a respected music educator in Colorado Springs believing that all students deserve quality music education. Lisa also enjoys running and competing in triathlons, as well as backcountry skiing and anything else in the Colorado sun. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, 2 teenaged sons and dog.
