Mike Mozingo, trombone

Mike Mozingo has taught band for 35 years and currently teaches at Lewis-Palmer Middle School in Monument, Colorado.

Mr. Mozingo received a Bachelor Degree in Music Education in 1978 from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and a Master Degree in Education from Lesley College of Cambridge, Massachusetts in1999.

The Lewis-Palmer Middle School Band under the direction of Mr. Mozingo has been selected to perform at the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic/Conference six times in the past 25 years. In 2013 Mr. Mozingo was recognized as the “Colorado Outstanding Band Director” by the Kappa Chapter of Phi Beta Mu an international band master’s fraternity. School Band and Orchestra Magazine recognized Mr. Mozingo as one of “50 Directors that make a Difference” in 2014.

He performs with the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra and the Monument Hill Brass Quintet. Mr. “Mo” lives in Monument, Colorado with his wife, Laurie.
